Connecting a Telnyx Number
Telnyx works either way — it can send calls to us, or we can sign in to Telnyx as a SIP credential. Pick the one that matches how you already run the number.
Sending calls to us (FQDN connection)
- In the Telnyx portal create a SIP connection of type FQDN.
- Set its destination to
sip-trunk.abacus.aion port5080. - Set the connection's number format to +E.164, so the number arrives with its country code.
- Assign your number to that connection.
- In Abacus.AI, connect the number with Fixed IP addresses and enter the signalling addresses Telnyx documents for your region.
Letting us sign in (credentials connection)
- In the Telnyx portal create a SIP connection of type Credentials, which issues a username and password.
- Assign your number to that connection.
- In Abacus.AI, connect the number, choose It's on my phone system, and enter
sip.telnyx.comas the provider SIP host with that connection's username and password.
Registration takes about a minute, after which the number's row reads Registered to your provider.
