Domain Purchasing lets you search, buy, and publish your Abacus.AI Apps on purchased domains directly within the platform hassle free.

Domain Purchasing streamlines the process of giving your apps professional custom URLs. Instead of juggling multiple services, you can complete your entire web presence setup within Abacus.AI.

  • Domain search and availability: Check availability across popular extensions like .com, .ai, and more
  • One-click purchasing: Buy domains directly through Abacus.AI using your credits
  • Automatic configuration: Domains are auto-verified without manual DNS setup
  • WHOIS privacy protection: Your personal information stays private in public domain records, included by default with every domain purchase
  • Custom DNS records: Add custom A, TXT, and MX records to configure email providers and other services
  • Automatic renewals: Domains renew automatically so your apps stay published without interruption

How to Purchase a Domain​

  1. Click the Deploy button on your app’s conversation
  2. Select the Custom Domains tab and choose Purchase Domain
  3. Search for a domain and pick one from the available results
  4. Complete the purchase — Abacus deducts credits from your balance
  5. The purchased domain is automatically configured and enters verification (may take some time)
  6. Once verified, your domain becomes available for app deployment with no additional setup

You will be billed for the domain purchase through your Abacus credits balance.

Renewals & Transfers​

Automatic Renewals​

  • Domains renew automatically each year to keep your apps accessible
  • To disable automatic renewals, contact support@abacus.ai

Transfer Support​

If you want to transfer domain ownership to someone else, eplease feel free to write to us at support@abacus.ai with the details and we will facilitate the transfer.

Configuring Subdomains​

If you wish to use a subdomain of a domain purchased through Abacus.AI:

  1. Please confirm the verification status of the domain - The domain must be verified with Abacus. If the verification is in pending state, please wait till it is verified.
  2. Once the domain is verified with Abacus, you can click on Add new domain and type the subdomain of your choice.
  3. Abacus will automatically create the required DNS records, and the subdomain will enter the verification process.
  4. After the subdomain is successfully verified, you can deploy your website on that specific subdomain.

Custom DNS Records​

For domains purchased through Abacus, you can add custom DNS records to configure additional services like email providers. Supported DNS record types:

  • A records: Point your domain/subdomain to an IP address
  • CNAME records: To point your domain to another domain name, you can create an alias for your domain or subdomain. This can be used for redirecting multiple domain names to a single canonical domain.
  • TXT records: Add text-based verification records for services like email authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC).
  • MX records: MX (Mail Exchange) records tell email servers where to deliver email for your domain. Setting up MX records allows you to use your custom domain for email addresses like support@yourdomain.com.

Pricing​

Abacus.AI provides a generous free tier for database, file hosting, and app server management until your app starts receiving significant traffic (up to 25,000 credits per month). Beyond that, charges apply. Read More.
